Course Development

  • Electronic learning or e-learning is a general term used to refer to computer-enhanced or online learning. It is used interchangeably in so many contexts that it is important to be clear what one means when speaking of 'e-learning'. eCompliance defines eLearning as the marriage of technology and education, to efficiently and effectively ensure quality OHS learning. The quality and success therefore lies in the process. The process eCompliance supports and implements is that of Instructional Design.

  • Instructional Design is the systematic development of instructional specifications using pedagogically tested theories of learning and instruction to ensure the quality of instruction. It is the entire process of analysis of learning needs and goals and the development of a practical technology based intervention and delivery system to meet those needs.

  • All of eCompliance's e-learning solutions are developed by Instructional Designs with teaching and training experience applying instructional design techniques and adult learning methodologies. Working closely with subject matter experts (SME) a technical and design team creates a diverse range of stimulating content that is relevant to the target audience. The design may include multi-media, activities, quizzes, simulations, voice, scenarios etc to keep the learner engaged and has an assessment at the end to ensure the learning outcomes have been met.

Through-out this process, learning not technology, is kept at the center of our e-learning development and delivery.
