This course looks at the issues encountered by driving professionals. PDIC is designed to sharpen a driver's skill through a structured look at experiences and problem areas shared by all drivers such as bad weather, winter roads, pressures of time and distance, etc. This course focuses on drivers' expectations and analysis of dangerous situations. It assumes that the drivers know what they are doing before they take the course. PDIC is taught from a trucker's perspective.
The course has been reviewed by Alberta Transportation and endorsed for online delivery. For those interested in the 3 demerit credit program or using this course as a pre-requisite for the Long Combination Vehicle (LCV) training, simply bring in your course certificate to an AMTA facility or certified PDIC instructor and write a proctored PDIC exam.
