eC - Audit Tool™

 

 

The eC - Audit Tool™ is a standalone audit application that can easily be configured to audit against any standard or protocol. It is the leading product in its class and is available both as a commercial tool to audit against published standards (CSA, ISO and OHS protocols), but can also easily be configured for custom in-house protocols.

The eC - Audit Tool™ makes use of automatic update functionality to immediately update the application with any changes to protocols that may have been published and removes the burden of checking for updates from the auditor. All data from the application is stored in an open standard XML file that can easily be integrated with corporate or custom management systems.

The methodology of the eC- Audit Tool™ is aligned with the traditional audit process of DIO. DIO refers to the verification methods that are typically used when an audit is conducted:

• D : Documentation - Review documentation to ensure that processes, procedures and policies are in place
• I : Interview - Interview employees to verify that they are aware of the processes, procedures and policies.
• O : Observation - Perform an observation tour of the facility to ensure that the processes, procedures and policies are implemented and adhered to.

 

After completion of the DIO verification auditors can capture notes and record suggestions for improvement in a user-friendly interface that provides visual status feedback to the auditor. Finally printing of the audit is in accordance with the reporting specifications defined for the audit protocol and eliminates hours of tedious formatting and reformatting of the final report.
